As mentioned previously, Castle Crashers Remastered had no set release date for PS4 at the time of its announcement for both Sony's current-gen console and the Nintendo Switch. This may come as a bit of a pleasant shock to some PS4 owners who were looking forward to the game's release. The Behemoth announced on its website that the remaster is being released for PlayStation 4 and the Nintendo Switch on September 17 in North America and September 19 in Europe. The PlayStation 4 version of Castle Crashers Remastered has now been given a mutual release date of the Switch version of the game. Castle Crashers may have easily been one of the biggest hits early in the last generation when it released on the Xbox Live Arcade a bit over a decade ago and is often considered one of the best modern beat 'em ups.
